Privacy is extremely important to us at Digital PTO. The following is a quick summary of our beliefs and practices.

• We only ask for the information we really need from you.
• We do not share your personal information with anyone other than to comply with law enforcement requests, further develop our internal products or to protect our rights.
• We only store personal information on our servers that is necessary to the operation of our service(s).
• We make it easy to adjust your privacy settings to control if your site is seen by the public, indexed by the search engines, kept private or deleted completely.

Standard Website Visitors

Almost all website operators collect non-personally identifying information about the traffic on their site. This information can include things like browser type, language, what websites traffic arrives from, some date information, etc. Digital PTO collects the same information and it is used to help us understand how our visitors interact with our website. None of this analytic data contains personal identifying information.

Digital PTO collects IP addresses on form submissions to avoid fraudulent and spam issues. This information is not made public in any way.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Some visitors to Digital PTO websites choose to interact with Digital PTO  in ways that require Digital PTO to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Digital PTO gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up for a website at DigitalPTO.com to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with Digital PTO – by upgrading to a Premium account, for example – are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions. In each case, Digital PTO collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Digital PTO. Digital PTO does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

Aggregated Statistics

Digital PTO may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Digital PTO may monitor the most popular blogs on the Digital PTO site or use spam screened by our filters to help identify spam. Digital PTO may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, Digital PTO does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

Digital PTO discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Digital PTO’s behalf or to provide services available at Digital PTO’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using Digital PTO’s websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Digital PTO will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Digital PTO discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when Digital PTO believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Digital PTO, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an Digital PTO website and have supplied your email address, Digital PTO may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Digital PTO and our products.  If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Digital PTO takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Digital PTO uses cookies to help Digital PTO identify and track visitors, their usage of Digital PTO website, and their website access preferences. Digital PTO visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using Digital PTO’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of Digital PTO’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Ads

Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Digital PTO and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. Personally-Identifying information is not sent to any third party advertising partners at any time.

Premium Member Website Data Collection

Our Premium Members have the ability to collect data on their individual websites. Digital PTO does not manage this information, it is controlled exclusively by the Premium Member. Furthermore, Digital PTO Staff does not ever access this information other than at the request of the member for troubleshooting purposes, etc. Under no circumstances will data collected by our Premium Members be sold, traded, exchanged or given to 3rd parties unless required to by law.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Digital PTO may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Digital PTO’s sole discretion. Digital PTO encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
